We hope these questions will help create some discussion with your group after each main session.
Session 1: Be Real-If you could put the students in your school into categories, what would they be? (Hipsters, Preps, etc…)-What category do you fit in? What category do you wish you were in? -What are some things you like about who you ARE?-What are some things you dislike about who you ARE?-If you could spend every moment aware that you ARE accepted/loved/forgiven in Jesus, how would it change your daily life?Session 2: Be A Servant- In Jesus' day, foot-washing was a disgusting service usually performed by a Gentile servant. What would the modern-day equivalent be for foot-washing?-If Jesus asked you to wash one person's feet, who in your life would be the most difficult for you to serve in this way?-Why does Jesus care so much about us serving others? What happens to us and to others when we serve?-On a scale from 1 (service) to 10 (selfishness), what is your first response like to those around you? Explain your answer - why did you pick the number you did?-As a group, brainstorm 10 ways that someone could become more servant-hearted. Write them down.
Session 3: Be Bold -Tell your group about a time when you were truly afraid. -Why is it so hard to be bold for Jesus in our schools, with our friends, or even in our families? -Do you know someone who’s bold and unashamed about their relationship with Jesus? Describe that person. -Is there a way you can be bolder in how you live out your faith? -What are some things you can do that will help you grow in boldness for Christ?
Session 4: Be the Church-If you could give a definition of “Church,” what would it be? -What’s the difference between attending Church and participating in Church? -What about you? Do you mainly attend Church or participate in Church? -Why do you think it’s important to do more than just attend your youth group or Church? -What is one way (big or small) that you can get more involved in your Church?
