Our vision for the Tennessee Christian Teen Convention is to reach out to the curious, call out the casual, and encourage the committed.
The Tennessee Christian Teen Convention (TCTC) was formed in 1983 by a group of youth ministers who had the dream of pooling the resources of statewide churches to create an event bigger and better than any one church could do alone. They decided to call it the Tennessee Christian Teen Convention, because it was a convention in Tennessee for Christian teenagers.
TCTC is held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center in Gatlinburg TN in the midst of the Great Smoky Mountains.
The price per person to register for the convention depends on when you register. Check the Home page for a break down of the cost. Both the Super Early-Bird and Early-Bird rates include a complimentary convention t-shirt along with great savings. All registrations cover the cost of everything we do in the Gatlinburg Convention Center. It does not include food, housing, or any extra-curricular activities you do on your own.
The only way to register is online. You can simply click the 'Register' button in the menu.
Yes. We strive to keep the cost low for everyone and spread the cost evenly across all participants. Many groups choose to charge their students extra to cover the registrations for their adults. Others simply have their adults contribute, too.
Absolutely NOT!! TCTC is a part of the Restoration Movement...What this means it that TCTC encourages ALL denominations that put their faith in Jesus Christ to spend the weekend in fellowship and worship. Last year at TCTC we had 5000+ people from over 130 churches that included 4 different denominations. Praise the God of UNITY!!!
NO WAY!!! Even though this event began by and for churches in Tennessee, God has done some amazing things to encourage Christian unity. There are churches from 11 different states who worship together in Gatlinburg each year. Again, we are a convention in Tennessee for Christian teenagers.
The vision of TCTC has always been to reach out to the curious, call out the casual, and encourage the committed. What this means is that every TCTC will challenge students to go further in their spiritual journey. We do this through God-centered worship, drama, workshops, and speakers. You will also see different things during the weekend... We have anything from comedians to dancers that minister to students on stage. We do this to show that God can use all talents and abilities to spread his Word. You will always see students on stage sharing the talents and abilities they've been given. These students typically come from the TCTC Competitions we hold each year.
