VOLUNTEERS
Welcome
We are so excited that you are interested in volunteering your time with TCTC. We are currently looking for volunteers for the 2025 convention. We ask that you fill out the Volunteer Application and the Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch as needed. Even if you have previously filled out the application we ask that you do so again. This aids in the logistics of housing and crew numbers. The following teams are the annual needs for the convention. Please read each area carefully before applying.
Volunteer Areas:
Stage and main room set-up and tear down
(set-up Thursday and tear down Sunday)
This involves being available all day Thursday AND/OR Sunday afternoon until about 5pm. It may involve some heavy lifting, crawling, and running cables. Must be able to follow directions given by the production company employees.
Stage Hands
(set-up Thursday through tear down Sunday)
Stage Hands assist in set-up AND tear-down as well as assisting the production team throughout the weekend. Involves loading in instruments, assisting with sound and video in electives, and assisting with production cues during show (moving equipment on and off stage as needed).
Host team (Friday-Sunday)
Host Team serves in many forms throughout the convention. Duties may include – but not limited to - collecting offering, serving communion, operating an exhibit booth, helping set up different areas before the convention, or any number of other roles. Must report to and follow instructions of the Host Team Coordinator.
Safety team (Friday-Sunday)
The safety team's main goal is to keep people safe as they enter, exit, and move about the facility. You will watch for arm bands and make sure that people follow traffic flow patterns and are not in areas that they are not supposed to be in. Must report to and follow instruction of the Safety Team Coordinator.
In many ways the SAFETY TEAM and HOST TEAM are the faces of TCTC. You have the most face to face interaction with the students and leaders. No matter what team you choose or are placed on you are greatly appreciated. TCTC could not be such a success without our volunteers. If you have any questions please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
